About me
Hi, I’m Stacy Harris, and I work with the Kansas Energy Program (KEP) to empower students, educators, and communities with hands-on energy education and sustainability initiatives. At KEP, we bring energy to life—literally! From designing STEM-based activities like wind turbine challenges and energy-efficient experiments to guiding schools and businesses on energy-saving strategies, we’re all about making energy exploration fun, engaging, and impactful.
One of our key projects is the K-12 Benchmarking Initiative, where we help schools track and analyze their energy use to uncover cost-saving opportunities. Think of it as energy detective work! It’s not just about reducing bills; it’s about fostering a culture of sustainability in schools while giving students real-world insights into energy efficiency.
Talk to me about energy education, sustainability projects, engineering design challenges, or creative ways to integrate STEM into your classroom. Whether it’s tips for teaching energy concepts, collaborative ideas for KidWind, or connecting energy efficiency with real-world impact, I’m your go-to. Let’s spark some energy innovation together!
